Shame on you.
Do it now.

More book than you can shake a stick at!

More book than you can shake a stick at!

Internet, meet Webster’s New International Dictionary, Second Edition, Unabridged (Display Copy, Not For Sale); an early birthday present.

Printed in 1960, it is in nearly perfect condition. It weighs 14 lbs (6.35 kilo), and is 5 7/8th inches from cover to cover (approx 15 cm). It smells faintly of grape from a distance of about 6 inches, but not up close. The main Vocabulary is 3194 pages, and the introduction and other preceding pages number 136. It was bought second-hand for 17.50$, marked down from 39.50$. Nowadays they run for more than 100$.

I cannot believe this book. I laugh almost every time I look at it because of how RIDICULOUS it is! It’s like a big, awkwardly square baby.
And it has taught me that I’ve been saying “Eberhardt” wrong this whole time:

Hey. Hey hey guys, hey, hey guys hey hey.
I'm a nerd.

Retirement Gift

This is part of a super-sneaky retirement gift for my Illustration professor. Shhh-- don't tell him!
A bunch of us have contributed a page with our art on it, and the amazing Natalie Luehr has offered to bind together a book from these pages.

These paintings are a bit of an in-joke with my professor, they incorporate a few of the things that he thought were funny, characteristic, or infuriating about how I painted landscapes and in general:

I love big skies.

I like muted and limited palates. (Spoilers, I just hate color)

I love putting a row of trees along the horizon.

And I always paint small. Super small. These are 1.5" x 2". That's inches, not feet.
So I hope it makes him chuckle.

Two Lovers

Well, the word's out, I love drawing stupid sappy pictures like this one! So have some cuddling.
Thank you all who helped me fix the problems in this painting, and who voted for it in the contest it was in!

Aslan Resurrected

An image that popped into my head more or less fully formed, the only problem was actually doing it.
I started this painting in gouache, but grew frustrated and scanned it into the computer to finish it digitally. I am happy with how it turned out, especially the stone.
Thank you all who voted for it in the contest it was in!
