Lady Owl

No, this is not in reference to "Lady Hawk." Oops, I didn't even think of that until I wrote that title.
Anyway.
Not the sweeping success I hoped it would be, but a passable companion piece to Sir Owl.

Lady Owl
Gouache
approx. 5" x 7"

This is probably the first painting where I consciously tried to make planar definition with color and value changes. AND SUCCEEDED.
So. To all my teachers—I DID LEARN SOMETHING FROM YOU AFTER ALL.
I'm just a late bloomer I guess, I'm sorry.

Hey- I like it! Glad you feel it was successful. When you make a breakthrough like this, I think you'll find that the pattern repeats. Keep up the good work.

Michelle, I love it so much! I want both of them. In my house. Framed. and next to each other.

Really successful piece.

Will, if you wanna see them framed and next to each other, you should check out Michelle's little painting show downtown Provo. There they are...Framed. Next to each other.

...but not in your house.

REALLY good work, Meechelle, I saw them tonight! I really enjoyed the texture and subtleties of the piece that made it delightful. Success!
