Also, I've been doodling a lot in Tegaki-E lately, I really like the canvas size and it's convenient for quick doodles while I'm surfing. I always get random ideas while I'm doing stuff on the computer, and as many of you know, sitting there with a pad of paper or sketchbook often gets cumbersome. So I just tab over to a blank Tegaki-E entry and doodle something out.

This is a character I designed about a year ago. It's my zodiac animal: I was born in the year of the fire-rabbit, during the hour of the snake, and I'm a Leo. I decided to stream-line the design more. Head over to Ninja Weasels where Rachel's done the same thing. Except hers is more awesome.

Elephant

I got to go to the zoo on Friday with Stebar and my friend Aubrey. I sat and drew the elephants for... I don't know, a good half-hour. This is what I painted from my mental notes and sketches as a thank-you card for my grandma. She's been very kind to me. It's the least I can do.
